For over five years I have watched THE CHOSEN!! To say that this show has greatly impacted my life and now some friends and family is an understatement.

The growth of The Chosen, a dramatic depiction of the life of Jesus, has experienced remarkable growth and popularity in America and beyond. Over 180 countries now have access to The Chosen through its app and website. It is now able to be seen on Amazon Prime, Peacock and Netflix boosting its reach in the US.

I have been an avid watcher and supporter of The Chosen since its inception.  Its growth is a testament to its compelling retelling of scripture, with a unique ability to connect with a broad audience seeking authenticity and engaging portrayals of faith and human connection.

The Chosen is about to embark on Season 6 which from reports will deal with the ultimate betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. They have finished filming in Matera, Italy as Dallas Jenkins has stated that the backdrop for this next season needed to have authenticity and visual impact. He wanted to avoid relying on CGI and blue screens, instead using Matera’s ancient, first-century-like landscape and stone structures to create a more genuine backdrop for the pivotal event. The historic town also served as a location for The Passion of the Christ further establishing its unique suitability for portraying the crucifixion.
