Jeff Henderson is an award-winning chef, bestselling author and dynamic public speaker. Chef Jeff, as he is widely known, wasn’t always the consummate individual he is today. In his formative years Jeff was a felon, who served nearly a decade in prison for drugs. Growing up in the tough streets of South Central LA and San Diego, by the age of 19 Jeff was the curator of a $35,000 a week cocaine operation. During his incarceration, Jeff discovered a passion for cooking and the drive to change the course of his life. His New York Times bestselling book Cooked: From the Streets to the Stove, from Cocaine to Foie Gras, chronicles his life from the streets to the Executive Chef of Café Bellagio in Las Vegas. The tone of the book is written in an edgy hard style which perpetuated his former life and gradually transitions to the refined, clean shaven, sophisticated young professional he is now. His story will motivate, ignite and inspire and stands as a testament of how you can make the choice to change. “Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.”…. Henry Miller, Author
